Les Game Awards 2025 ont dévoilé la liste complète de leurs nommés, avec une forte présence de l’esport cette année. Parmi les surprises, la figure de League of Legends Marc « Caedrel » Lamont est en lice pour le titre de Content Creator of the Year. « C’est un honneur incroyable, je ne m’y attendais pas », a-t-il réagi sur ses réseaux. La cérémonie, prévue le 11 décembre et diffusée pour la première fois sur Prime Video, récompensera notamment la meilleure équipe esport, avec des nominations pour Gen.G (LoL), NRG (Valorant) ou encore Team Falcons (Dota 2). Côté joueurs, ZywOo, Chovy, MenaRD ou le retraité Kakeru figurent parmi les candidats au titre de meilleur athlète esport. Enfin, Counter-Strike 2, League of Legends, Dota 2, Valorant et Mobile Legends s’affronteront pour le trophée de meilleur jeu esport, tandis que Fortnite et Marvel Rivals se distinguent dans la catégorie Best Ongoing Game.
